Paparazzi

Princess Diana died shortly after the car accident, where she was traced by paparazzi. Arnold was one of many stars who spoke out against intrusive paparazzi. The media and Arnold recalled his similar experience (in early May 1997) of being trapped in his car by paparazzi after heart surgery and called for tighter control on tabloid photographers. "Many of us in public life have had the chilling experience of being chased and hunted down like animals simply for a photograph on spec."


Arnold (seen here on the Santa Monica freeway) is among many celebrities who constantly must outrun paparazzi.

T2 UE DVD Released

There have been a number of reports that Artisan's T2: The Ultimate Edition DVD isn't shipping in huge quantities at the moment, and may be hard to find. That's because of manufacturing trouble producing enough of the DVD-18 discs to meet demand. In order to offset the underage, Artisan has decided to produce later runs of the disc as two DVD-9 discs (which are easier to manufacture), rather than a single DVD-18.



Keep in mind that this is still the same special edition - there's no difference as far as content. It's just that some of you will get it on 2 discs instead of one.

Arnold met Maria Owings Shriver at Robert F. Kennedy Celebrity Tennis Tournament, Forest Hills, New York. He and one football great were tennis partner, and losing to a pair of ten year olds, so they decided to win over the crowd; they took off their shirts and started flexing their muscles. For Maria it was love at first sight, and the attraction was his sense of humor.

A few fans have seen Studio 54, the movie about the 1970s disco bar of the same name. It tries to document life at the real club. The film ends with black-and-white photos of the stars (not all of whom were stars then) who frequented the club during its heyday. Arnold and Maria were two celebrities who were "where it was happening." They are shown attending a 1980 promo party for Conan at New York nightclub. The movie premiered that day.

According to the BBC, Schwarzenegger has approved the script for Total Recall sequel, though Director Johnathan Frakes (Star Trek: First Contact) has deemed it too expensive. The present draft would require a budget of approximately $150 million - way too high. A more budget-conscious screenplay was being searched by producerrs for right then, though if it can't be found soon then the film may not happen at all depending upon Arnie's scheduling.
