Exactly 20 years ago Arnold began principal photography of Conan the Barbarian in Segovia.

First film's accident nearly ended the production when one of the dogs (playing the wolves), trained to attack an animal skin Arnold was wearing on Conan set, became over-eager and knocked the actor off a ten-foot cliff into a briar patch.

A three part process: 1) Arnold climbing up, 2) dog attacking Arnold (Arnold falling down), 3) rescue on the way

The crew was aware, that finding a stunt double to match Arnold was all but impossible. But like Conan, Arnold is tough; his physical conditioning saved him from nothing more than a bruised and scratched back.

t2.jpg (369 bytes)

Have you checked the results from weekly voting. Most voters have predicted T3 production in trouble... Put Terminator 3 on the list of projects on hold, thanks to the impending actors' and writers' strike.

Variety reported that while production was set to begin this spring, producers Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar have become more skeptical about completing the movie before the threatened actors' and writers' strike which would happen in June of 2001 should they decided to go through with it.

Will we ever see another terminator?

The report also states a rumor that potential investors are a bit wary about another Arnie project given his last two films, End of Days and The 6th Day didn't fare too well at the box-office.

Warner Bros announced filming of Arnold's I am Legend won't begin until April, so it won't hit theaters until Fall or Winter, 1998. Warner Bros executives have been hanging by a thread, and they just couldn't handle the pressure. The usually strong, financially sound studio went through a record breaking dismal box-office showing for 1997. Flop after flop, the domino effect was unrelenting from the beginning to the end of the year. The Devil's Own, Volcano, Conspiracy Theory, Contact all underperformed, with production and marketing costs well over an excess of $100 million. Superheroes couldn't save the studio either. Batman & Robin, the studio's highest grossing film of 1997 ($107.3 Million), was a major financial disappointment.

Also that day, actress Linda Hunt said that she regreted her role in Arnold's Kindergarten Cop. Although she loved filming scenes with Arnold, she was workless for most of time during the filming in 1990.

Rumors spread on the internet about Arnold's relationship with Jesse Ventura: "Some of you may have heard all the nice things Arnold Schwarzenegger had to say about Gov. Jesse Ventura after yesterday's inuaguration, which makes today's comments by Ventura in Rush Molloy's New York Daily News column somewhat surprising."

O0170003.jpg (18200 bytes)

According to the columnists, Ventura, commenting on Arnold's chances in politics for USA Weekend, says, "Arnold's real interests are making movies and money. He probably has political interests because he sees how much he pays in taxes." Ventura then went on to slam the actor saying, "Arnold's problem is that I can do something he can't: Be President. He wasn't born here. Arnold doesn't want to be told he can't do something." Sheesh!

As The 6th Day premieres in Czech Republic today the film is getting nearer to my country. In a few weeks time, I'll be finally able to see the film. But today, I was able to see the trailer on the big screen for the first time. It's certainly one of Arnold's best trailers ever. There were a few scenes that I haven't saw in US trailer! The crowd's reaction was very positive! It's gonna be a big hit in Slovenia. I promise!

Anyway T6D worldwide total (domestic + international) is now $66.3 million and it's headed well over $100++ million.

Dark Horizons reported today this morning a local radio morning show (WNCI) talked with Arnold Schwarzenegger about fitness and Planet Hollywood, and they did squeeze in a question about T3. Arnold said "We are looking for an actress who could play the same kind of villain that Robert [Patrick] and I played. Peta Wilson of Nikita is a strong candidate but we haven't chosen anyone yet"

At a Centerville Mass. funeral home, Arnold and his wife Maria said their last goodbyes to Michael Kennedy. Michael died on New Year's Eve, in a skiing accident in Colorado. Michael Kennedy and Maria Shriver were cousins.

Also reported that day was that Arnold invested $3 mio to redecorate former John (Dynasty) Forsyth's house. Arnold decorated one room especially for his smoking. Arnold also bought another neighbor's house (for his guests). It has 11 bedrooms and 1080 square meters.
