Dimension Films (a Miramax part) purchased the movie rights (for an estimated $3.15 million) to Total Recall from defunct Carolco Pictures to make Total Recall 2. Arnold was/is interested in the project.

Originally, Miramax films announced that they would like to make a Total Recall television series, and they would syndicate it all over the world. However, Miramax planned on making a theatrical sequel and they wanted Arnold and Sharon Stone to reprise their roles.

I've just found a very interesting report based on Arnold interview! Although it's almost 2 months old, there is plenty of important issues discussed (Arnold's age and health & comeback pressure & nervous studios & why EOD was an Arnie success...). Or you just want to hear the budget for T3? You won't believe it!

Read the www.theage.com.au Arnie story now!

A Texas mother Debra Wrenn claimed that she met Arnold that night and had a relationship with him at Naughty Lady nightclub. The daughter Christina was born on October 23rd that year.

Debra & Christina (any resemblance to Arnold?)

In early 1995 she sued Arnold. Arnold of course never met this woman. He took the blood test and proved that he wasn't the father of Christina Lynn Bentlage.

Exactly one year ago Variety briefly mentioned that Andrew Davis (The Fugitive) will next direct Arnold in Warner Brothers Collateral Damage. And a year earlier on the same day, Joe Dante (Small Soldiers) reportedly signed on to direct The Sixth Day. The latter report turned out to be false.

t2.jpg (369 bytes)

Darkhorizons reported today about what the hell is going on with Terminator 3 & 4. Here's the details from 'The Spook':

"T3 has also been pushed back, though this too is good as a director hasn't been signed. John McTiernan is still very much interested, though post production is very much his thing on "Rollerball". we reckon the strike won't last long at all and are looking at a july start.
T4: waiting on arnold's yes/no agreement. it can be done without him, though nobody wants that. It could feature lots of the guy too in a proper role, a real character I mean. Some ideas are going around that the Terminator was based on a rebel soldier."

James Cameron decided for his next project - Planet Of The Apes remake with Arnold. Cameron also hoped, that NASA will let him shoot some scenes in the space. Fox sweared Apes is alive and kicking. "We see the potential for a big movie," said studio president Bill Mechanic. "It won't get to the screen by the most linear path, but it's going to get made."

As it looks now, the film will really be made...without Cameron and without Arnold.

This was probably the first film promotion he ever did. You might not remember, but Pumping Iron was released that January(about the same time as Stallone's Rocky).
