Arnold promoted Eraser for WB Pictures at ShoWest, which was held at Bally's
Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Arnold received the National Association of Theater Owners' 1997 Humanitarian of the
Year Award in Las Vegas. This was first ever ShoWest Humanitarian Award.

Also that day, Maria left St. John's Health Center (hospital) in Santa Monica (she had
pregnancy problems).
Friday-Sunday, March 6th-8th, 1998
AFW 1998: 10th Annual Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic + Ms. International Contest +
Fitness International Contest + Arnold Masters Invitational + Arnold Fitness Expo '98 +
Arnold Martial Arts Festival. They again hosted the Annual World Gym Convention, as well
as a return of the Fitness Symposium conducted by the International Chiropractors
Association. More than 250 World Gym owners, 200 chiropractors and another 200 health club
owners will attend.
In the past ten years, the ASC has became the world's leading bodybuilding event, with the
biggest competition cash prizes, a lot of sponsors and The Classics became a real threat
to Mr. Olympia title. Arnold reportedly also organized an arm-wrestling championship
during the AS Fitness weekend.

A new fitness magazine for men and women has been introduced at the AFW that year. Intense
Fitness, published by Peter Klein, printed on high-quality stock with a clean and elegant
look featured Arnold on their 1st cover. |
